Property Hosts & Private Water
A good property listing answers the questions a guest would otherwise email you. Gather the facts first, then build the listing.
#Before you start
- Real photographs of the property and the water.
- Proof you may sell the access you describe, and any rules that apply.
- Rates, what they include, and your calendar.
#Steps
- Describe the water and the access: type, length, how anglers reach it, and the rules.
- List dates and availability, rates and inclusions.
- State occupancy or capacity where it is supported.
- Write cancellation terms and check-in expectations.
- Communicate directions appropriately, usually after booking, not publicly.
- Build the listing with Booking Products.
- For Airbnb or Vrbo availability, use Calendar Sync (iCal) and read its limits.
- Finish your Storefront.
#Example: private water without lodging
A private-water listing can stand alone as a bookable product:
Half-mile of private spring creek. Two rods per day, fixed daily rate, no lodging. Release rules apply. Meeting directions sent after booking.
#Cautions
- One-unit iCal does not imply shared capacity sync.
- Commission is not assumed identical across vendor types. Ask the marketplace for yours.
#Migration help
Free configuration and listing migration is offered on the property application page. It is a service you request, not an automatic software action.
#Troubleshooting
Guests ask for the address.
Send it after booking, through the marketplace channel.
